Bracelet of the Day: Crystal Picot Bracelet - Mint Green

CRYSTAL PICOT BRACELET
  • 11/0 seed beads Miyuki "Olive Brown" (11-457H)
  • 4mm fire polished beads "Opaque Pale Turquoise Star Dust"
  • 6mm fire polished beads "Opaque Pale Turquoise Star Dust"

The pattern is from Deborah Roberti but I made a couple of changes. Instead of using 4mm bicones, I used 4mm fire polished beads for a softer look. I also wanted to tighten up the picots and give them more distinct points. Here is a close-up of the motifs and picots made as Deb wrote the pattern:
Here's a close-up showing how I did mine:

To get the pointy picots, I had to change the thread path a bit. Rather than try to explain what I did, I made a PDF tutorial that explains the changes I made to Step #8 of Deb's tutorial.

You can download the PDF file HERE. Click HERE to download Deb's pattern, which is now free.

  1. I really do like your changes! It's so much fun to experiment with patterns. You really do have a knack of making them better. Funny, but I came across some firepolish beads that color over the weekend and was thinking I should use them!

  2. I bought the pattern but I like the way that you do the pointy picots much better. I tried downloading but the file has been removed. Can you please either post again or email at zimmermann.edith.m@gmail.com with info about the PDF file. Crystal Picot bracelet on April 7th

    1. I just fixed the download link, Edith. TinyUpload deletes files that haven't been downloaded after a period of time so I download them all myself once a month to keep them active. I somehow missed this one. Sorry about that. I've added it to my reminder list now.

  4. I did one your way and then doubled it for a cuff and added some beads in between. Wish I could show you, it's a stunner!
